Kitchen fitting in Northwich

A kitchen is the job where fitting quality shows most obviously. The units themselves are often the same ones your neighbour bought — what separates a kitchen that looks right from one that doesn't is whether the runs are level, the doors line up, and the panels meet the wall without a wedge of filler down the side.

We fit kitchens across Northwich and the surrounding areas, whether they're supplied by a showroom, bought from a national retailer, or something we've made. We're happy to work alongside your own supplier.

Working with walls that aren't straight

Almost no kitchen wall is truly flat, and almost no floor is truly level. The difference between a good fit and a poor one is how that gets dealt with. Units get packed and levelled off the highest point of the floor, worktops get scribed to the wall rather than butted against it, and end panels get cut to the wall's actual profile.

It's slower than simply screwing units to a wall, and it's the reason a properly fitted kitchen still closes correctly years later.

Trades, sequencing and timescales

A kitchen usually involves more than carpentry — plumbing for the sink and any wet appliances, electrics for sockets, lights and ovens, sometimes plastering after the old units come off. We'll coordinate that so trades arrive in the right order and you're not left without a working kitchen longer than necessary.

A straightforward replacement in the same layout is typically around a week. Moving services, changing the layout, or waiting on a stone worktop template — which has to be measured after the units are in — will extend that, and we'll set out the sequence before we start.

Common questions

Can you fit a kitchen I've bought myself?
Yes, and it's very common. We fit kitchens from all the main suppliers. It's worth having us look at the plan before you order, as we can often spot problems with the design while they're still cheap to change.
How long will I be without a kitchen?
For a like-for-like replacement, usually a few days without a working sink and cooker within a week-long job. We'll be straight with you about the disruption before we start.
Do you do the plumbing and electrics?
We handle the carpentry and installation, and coordinate qualified trades for the plumbing and electrical work. That way the certification is done properly by the people qualified to issue it.
What about stone worktops?
Stone and composite worktops are templated after the units are fitted, then cut off site and installed by the supplier. That's normally a one to two week gap, and we'll usually fit a temporary surface so the kitchen stays usable.
